hello
i submitted a quick rebate return through a website - www.taxcredits.org.uk - basically they take a cut of your rebate - so i receive a letter from
hmrc stating this company will get the £60 rebate in full, havent heard from the company since they are registered on company house, they do not respond to emails nor do they have a phone number i can locate - I spoke to hmrc who advised there is nothing they can do due to being served a deed of assignment, the rebate for this year i am happy to let go, however my concern is lots of people have reported this website as scam website - not only that but im concerned this company can apply for all future rebates also, something hmrc confirmed - Is there anything i can do? thanks

HMRC will advise how you can cancel the authorisation you gave them so it stops future claims... changes to authorisations happen all the time as people switch accountants etc.0

thankyou i shall try ringing them, when i spoke earlier the way i understood it was the adviser at hmrc told me essentially its permanent and due to it being legal document served there was nothing i could do other than get the company to revoke it by soeaking to them, hence the problem which is they cannot be contacted.
Ill speak to hmrc again in case i was incorrectly informed by that adviser.
is just very concerning to think a company could take 40% of all future rebates
thanks though0 -
I suspect you need to be clear that you are talking about "today" onwards, not trying to revoke it retrospectively etc.0

That was good of HMRC to warn you about the company.KDD1 said:hello
