  • I don't see Neo Energy listed, but they have a waitlist for new clients - so suspect they are about to go (Great! As they have absolutely appalling customer service!)

Neo are a trading name of Euston (along with their other trading name of Northumbria). The actual OFGEM license is only in the name Euston though.

They’ve had a new customer freeze on both brands for a while so it does suggest they might be under pressure.

On the other hand I haven’t seen anything from OFGEM so they must be up to date with FIT payments etc and falling behind on those has been the usual precursor to failure in other firms.

  • Valda Energy took over our supply - not impressed to say the least. Am in a 3 yeat contract - on what grounds are you allowed to change supplier before the end of the contract. I have a complint against them which I’ll be taking to tjr Energy Ombudsman if it’s unresolved

You can change at any time but there may be an early exit fee. You'll need to look at the T&Cs.

If you took out the contract more than 6 months ago it may be at a very advantageous rate, compared to today, so you might consider poor service a price worth paying. You also say you "were moved". Did you not sign up deliberately to this supplier?

What are the kWh and daily charge prices?

You may have a very good deal -  my business electric contract is about 36p KWh (out of contract is 57p)  and with such a long term fix it may be best to sit tight.
