Travel FROM ireland

My understanding is that you do not have to have a test to fly from Ireland into the UK, can anyone confirm? I know there is a test required to fly back into Ireland from Friday.

  • Ireland is in the common travel area so yes, no test needed. You still need to fill the PLF in though.

You appear to be correct as the GOV site still exempts the Republic

When you do not need to complete the form

You do not need to complete the passenger locator form if you’re travelling from one of the following places:

    • UK (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland)
    • Republic of Ireland
    • Channel Islands
    • Isle of Man
