Double bust Supplier situation
Hi all
I was a Green energy customer, with a credit balance, switching to Avro which then itself went bust......avro took 2 ddebits meantime, leaving me another credit balance.
Octopus are now emailing me to provide Avro service.
Shell energy are also emailing me to provide Green energy service.
I have over £600 in credits over the 2 bust suppliers.
I have notified both new suppliers the situation but getting nowhere until the final switch is allowed from ‘administrators’.
Is there a central contact point to help in situations like these? Any one else had their switch supplier go bust midswitch?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks all.

There is no central contact point. You have to wait until the SoLR/administrator process works through. The Energy Ombudsman will not accept any complaints relating to failed suppliers. Bear in mind that prior to 2018, you would now be an unsecured creditor of two failed suppliers with little to no chance of getting any of your money back.1

You were with 2 different, independant suppliers.
Each has gone bust, and a different SoLR has been appointed for each.

My bad. The protection was introduced in 2016. How time passes when we are all having so much fun!dbks said:[Deleted User] said:... Bear in mind that prior to 2018, you would now be an unsecured creditor of two failed suppliers with little to no chance of getting any of your money back1
