Flagged as possible scam by Halifax who halted the transfer from joint account and theatened to suspend my current account if I didn't respond with a phone call. Second attempt to transfer also bounced back and Raisin says they will respond to email in a few days. To be honest I can't be arsed with the hassle and will just stick to direct involvement with suppliers. In my case not worth it for the one-off 50 quid, especially when you can often find better deals yourself with an all-market search going forward.
I have funded 5 Raisin savings accounts over the past 6 months all from my Halifax bank account with no problems at all.
I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.
  • I haven't said everyone has a problem. I have outlined accurately what happened to me trying to fund it from a joint account with Halifax. Looking afterwards at the FAQ on the raisin site it outlines that problems can arise which follow on from the way it is set up.

Email them with subject 'boost bonus' by 7/1/22

Thanks, yes. The bonus is £50 for 10K, so with the £25 each for referral should be 1.36% for the year on instant access, though you need to keep for 6 months to get the bonuses.

    I make it 1.46%
    £50 for 10k
    £25 for referral
    £10 Boost Bonus
Boost bonus is seperate from Welcome Bonus, and i would make claim in seperate emails.

Its good you let people know what problems you have encountered.

All I am doing is putting my personal experience forward so others can see a balanced view.

My comments are not at you

My first transfer to Raisin from Halifax went through no problem.
The second one for same amount a few days later was stopped by Halifax.
Had to contact Halifax within 24hr or online banking would be blocked, phoned them answered a few questions about the transaction, then it was approved.

    Thanks, I'd missed that one.

I have opened 3 fixed rate bonds with them an not had any problems. Once you request to open an account it can take a couple of days for the application to be accepted and then after you have transferred the money to your Raisin account a short time for the account to be opened. At the moment there is an additional bonus on £10 for each account opened with at least £5000.
I haven't had any problems so far and my bonus payment have all been received within 2 weeks of claiming them. I don't know how good there customer support is as I haven't had any need to contact them. The only negative thing so far is I was going to open a Zenith account but I couldn't because it requires you to have a passport that I don't have.
Do you know what the passport requirements are for the Zenith account (does it have to be a UK passport)? I'm also thinking of opening a Raisin account, primarily for that Zenith offer, so definitely curious about any eligibility or application requirements.
  • Merry Christmas! Raisin have decided that today is a good day to hassle me once more, to invest money I don’t have. I have told them this on several occasions, but to no avail. I will close the account in the New Year as I just don’t need the grief. Seriously?
