Hi all, I will be returning from abroad (non red) mid Dec, is there a PCR test centre at Gatwick or Sussex that gives the result same day, please? I am fully vaccinated and this will be the two day or before test.

Also interested in this. If there is nothing quick near Gatwick I may do a postal test when I land (early am) and hope the results come through overnight.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards. Don't forget the turnaround time for sending out the result is usually from when the test is received at the lab. Royal Mail postal service is a nightmare as it is without it being a busy December. So that is something to factor in too.1

I've also asked someone to look at the legal stuff, now that the SI has been published. There may be a chance that you can take a 2day PCR and take an ordinary PCR and be released if either come back negative. after all, if you haven't got covid, you haven't got covid and all the sequencing requirements are redundant.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards. I've seen these mentioned, no personal experience:
HALO verify at Sofitel Heathrow T5, PCR within 5 hours if taken before 6pm - £60.
Aloft near the excel centre do 3 hr tests
novotel nr Heathrow £65 for a 3 hour test.
Hasu diagnostics (slough) £56/ £99.
emphasising no personal experience (scraped from elsewhere)I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards. I landed at 8:45 at LGW yesterday (30-Nov)
I picked up a (£35) test from a Randox distribution centre in Maidstone at 10:30
Dropped off the test at one of their drop boxes at 12:00 (did digital paperwork and test in the car park)
Received negative result in my inbox at 02:15 this morning (1-Dec)
Very efficient
Regards
