I would suggest you all cancel your DD straight away and set up a new DD with the SOLR supplier when known.
  • My Bank has just recovered the DD payment that went to Zog today, and I can afford to wait a couple of weeks before I decide on any DD cancellation. Zog owes me about £12. I suspect that a well run supplier like Zog with only 12k customers isn’t going to cause a SoLR too many headaches when it comes to Final Billing or the transfer of accounts.

Frankly I'm surprised they did that as Zog is still your supplier at this moment and probably will be for a few more days. I am perfectly relaxed about the direct debit taken today and am sure (as your last sentence hints at) there will be no problem with any credit being transferred across to the new supplier.

Not a good idea and against all the official advice. They are still your supplier until the SoLR takes over.

I only had a small credit and that will have been wiped out by November usage, so I'm leaving my DD in place for now.
  • This is rather sad. It was a nice little company. What is the ballpark tariff that we should now expect?
I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".
  • Will the SOLR be the first for gas-only customers?

Unlikely as many of the other providers who supplied gas will have had some gas only customers, but it is probably the first SoLR for a gas only supplier...

No, other gas only suppliers have failed such as Daligas
