2 day PCR if you’ve had Covid within 90 days?

Hi, does anyone seem to no if you would still require a two day PCR for returning from Spain to the UK if you’ve had Covid within 90 days previously? I rang 119 and was told I wouldn’t as it can give dodgy results yet there seems to be nothing mentioned on this scenario on Jet2 or anywhere for that matter. Thanks in advance.

Its only advice re the 90 day thing where the day 2 PCR is going to be mandatory.
So no exemption, I agree about the contradictions though the whole 90 day thing is full of contradictions.0 -
UK Gov have decided to make PCR testing mandatory for all UK arrivals to enable the detection of the Omicron variant. Even if you’ve had Covid and recovered in last 90 days it’s possible to catch Covid again (and it could be the new Omicron variant-)
You can still travel abroad within 90 days of testing positive , in the knowledge that you may test positive again and need to quarantine on your return.
Or you can wait to travel when 90 days have passed or wait until the Gov changes the PCR test requirement.

I'm fully expecting to be caught out by this.
Tested positive last week, ended my self-isolation today, lateral flow negative again today.
I fly out to Tenerife on Saturday for a few days - the lateral flow I bought for this is now useless - but I bet I'll test positive day 2 PCR if it's going to magnify residual covid in my system, and the NHS website says don't do another within 90 days for this very reason.0 -
we are in the same boat.
Governments own guidance contradicts their requirements - and speaking to an NHS COVID advisor was told "yes its an issue....hopefully they sort it".
Hopefully the trip is cancelledInsert smart witty comment here0
