Been advised to wait 3 months before submitting my DRO
Options
Hi there i moved into an adapted property in October as im disabled and used my credit card to pay the removal company as i had no one else or money to do it which was £600, stepchange have asked me to wait 3 months before submitting my DRO but my barcode will be ready next week sometime as they say it is a big outlay on the card and might scupper the DRO , i did this this is all before i asked for financial advice from stepchange, any advice would be most welcome

Hi,
What advice, exactly do you need ?
Step change is a DRO intermediary, they may just be being cautious here.
How much debt do you have, is any of it defaulted, any reason you can`t wait 3 months ???I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Good day sourcrates maybe not advice but if anyone has been in the same boat? my debt is £24000 with cc and 2 catalogs, everything was moving fast and well then this happened.
Only reason I don’t want to wait 3 months is being called and harassed by the creditors,
Would you know from when they send me the barcode how long I have to scan it at the post office ?0 -
You have 6 months to pay the barcode1
