Hi,

I had a message this morning to say that someone had logged a claim against me / my vehicle as I reversed into them. I am horrified to say the least! I haven't hit anyone and I'm now stressing about the outcome.

I spoke to my insurance company and they said that someone has sent a form in. I have been asked to provide photos of my vehicle which I have done and I'm just waiting to hear back now but my anxiety is through the roof!!

Anyone had this?
Cheers

So before stressing too much is there any chance it could have been you/your car ? Right area/right time/someone else driving who hasn't owned up to you ?

If it's impossible it could have been you/your car then you just send them what they've asked for and make sure you have your ducks in a row

It only becomes more complex if it could potentially have been you/your car
  • I was the only one to have driven the car and I was in the area they said.
  • There was a scam of people looking for damaged cars, then saying they were hit by you in that vicinity. Your damage matches their claim. Bingo!
  • My car has no damage and I have sent photos to my insurance.
