Hi,
My energy provider went bust ( Avro) they have been taken over by Octopus energy.
My energy provider went bust ( Avro) they have been taken over by Octopus energy.
I fixed my tariff with Avro in August 2021 for 12 months. Does the new provider have to offer me the nearest they can to what I had? They are saying I’ll be put on flexible tariff?? Do they not have an obligation to keep my current tariff for 12 months?

All they can offer you is the OFGEM capped variable rate, or any of their own tarriffs which are likely to be more expensive then the capped rate.
