Depends on your balance and on your transactions. Deposits up to €50K are free, 0.5% negative interest for anything above. Some costs for certain transactions https://www.starlingbank.com/send-money-abroad/country-fees/J_B said:Is there a charge for a Starling Euro account?
Sorry, I didn't ask properly - is there a charge for actually having a Starling Euro account?
Though don't take my word for it. Check on https://www.starlingbank.com/

UK leaving the EU does not invalidate Italian, or anyone other country's, financial compensation schemes. Obviously, if you wanted/needed to invoke the Italian compensation scheme, it would help if you are fluent in Italian*, but again, that was as true when the UK was still an EU member as it is now.penners324 said:As we're no longer in the EU, Italian protection is irrelevant
* I don't know whether you have a Fineco account, but in some places, they use Italian instead of English, on UK Fineco accounts. Not bad enough to put me off a Fineco account but it wouldn't be my first choice for GBP-Euro transfers, be they one-off or regular.0 -

Thanks - I did have a look and that was my conclusionI may need to transfer money to Cyprus in EurosI currently send GBP to Currency Fair, exchange it and then forward it on to my Bank of Cyprus account for the cost of £3I tried with my Starling GBP account but they say they won't do the 'low cost payment' for 30p and insist that I use the SWIFT payment for a fiver.Just wondering what fees would be involved if I were to have a Starling Euro account?Starling GBP to Starling Euro to B of Cy Euro?0 -
I am confused now what your Q is. Is it about the charges of holding an account or about charges of making money transfers, or both?J_B said:Daliah said:

It might be easier if you just say what you conclude, based on your own experience or on your understanding of the charges, or whatever your conclusions are based on. .0 -
Their charges require some digging and downloading of PDFsStarling GBP to Starling Euro to B of Cy Euro?
0.4% GBP to EUR conversion fee and zero cost for the outgoing Euro SEPA payment.
If the EUR balance goes above €50k then you'll be charged 0.5% 'storage fee' on anything above €50k and any incoming Euro SEPA payments might be charged a premium as you're using a non-EEA IBAN. The Cypriot bank could also (in theory) charge you a premium as it's a non-EEA credit.1 -
