Very little spent whilst staying with my S.I.L. have counted the cash I gave her toward my "board", so hoping to come in slightly below annual target, have changed back to a monthly and reduced it, slipping home for a few days respite tomorrow, ewill involve some expenditure on fresh, although I am taking some veg and left overs with meDo I need it or just want it.5

I'm still in budget, mostly because I've been able to count the mulled wine and choc log I bought in with the Christmas budget. I counted a half bottle of Jameson, two packs of Kettle Chips and some blue cheese in with the groceries though as they were for at home. Other than that it's all milk, marmite, bread and the occasional breakfast pastry as usual. The veg box resumes Friday, so I have some healthy things coming in too.

Finishing £8.66 over budget - not great as it was a bigger budget for Christmas which i had thought was very generous. However, the last few months of doing this challenge have helped me learn a lot. Feeling optimistic about 2022 - thank you to all who post on here - it's encouraging to be with others on this journey.7

We finished December on around £220/£200, which I'm pretty happy with considering we didn't up the budget for Christmas. No Christmas food shopping done here as we were out Christmas day and boxing day and I've been mostly working the rest of the time. Heading over to January now!5

December is all done. Have just spent £4.44 on butter and £6.00 on a large Comfort on offer at Amazon.

I’m declaring for December at £159.90/£160.90.
Not certain where it all went but I spent £15.94 today in MrT’s and there is only £1 left in the GC purse. Hopefully, I’ll be better at tracking in January. See you all on the other side.
