Parcels stuck in Langley

I made an order on Oct 1st from China - according to tracking it arrived in Langley UK on Oct 25th, yesterday I had a sorry I missed you card from Royal Mail trying to deliver parcel (tracking still saying its in Langley). There is no duty to pay on the parcel. Royal Mail cannot explain the delay (5 weeks) or why tracking is so out of sync - has anyone else had this issue?

On the other hand, the tracking on a parcel I sent to my Oz friend was still showing 'Received at Heathrow' when she rang to thank me for her birthday present.0
