Aldermore Easy Access 0.75%

Aldermore currently pays the top rate of 0.75%, though it does stretch the definition of easy-access a little, as it only allows two withdrawals per year. Make more than this and the rate plummets to 0.1%.

I know it's not full easy access, but still good that you can get access to your money if you need it. Just checked HL Active Savings, and unfortunately not showing on there yet as an option, but hopefully it will soon.0

I already had this account - opened it in Sept when it was 0.60%.
When I logged on to check whether to w/d my funds and apply anew, Aldermore had unilaterally already increased the rate on it to 0.75% in line with the latest offer. Isn't that refreshing?

I know it can be a headache with some providers when they bring out a better rate, when you ask they won't let you re-designate your old account to the new issue and instead you have to open a new account with a new account number. which means you then have the hassle of setting up new payee details in the linked account.
Never let the perfume of the premium overpower the odour of the risk0 -
But very tiresome account-opening despite their claim that it is quick and easy. They were 'unable to verify' my linked bank account (a bog-standard nationwide current account) and insist on a statement or letter from N/W showing my name, address and acount details, in the post.Only after that will they send account opening info, again by post, so who knows how long it will all take.Compared to banks that get you up and running immediately after you finish the online application, it's pretty poor. When I rang to confirm this process I was told it applies to all new customers having to verfy details by post, though I have doubts about that.0

I opened a savings account with Aldermore about a year ago , without any issue at all , and I am a Nationwide current account holder.
If I remember I had to wait for a letter with my new member details/number , before I could log on .
Same with the last three pensions I opened .0 -
I've had issues with banks / pensions verifying a Nationwide Current Account. I had a Tesco Current Account but obviously had to close. When tried to change nominated accounts several couldn't verify the NW account and had to send bank statement1

My experience with Aldermore has always been postive. They have one of the best easy access rates right now.I already have a fixed rate ISA with them which unfortunately leaves no room to open an Easy Access account without exceeding the FSCS limit.0
