    This is the letter I did.
    It shows that either DWP or HMRC were querying how she could afford to buy a house. The remainder of the money came from equity in the house she lived in with her ex.

    Further to telephone conversations between your department and my sister about her recent move to xxxxxxx, I confirm that I have gifted the amount of £xxxxxx.xx to my sister xxxxxxxxxxxxxx to assist her in purchasing this house outright for her and her children's benefit.
