Solicitor’s Fees For Purchase of Park Home

I know these are probably going to vary wildly depending on the area, but if anyone has a definite figure of what they’ve paid, that’d be great. I was under the impression that they should be very low. Need all my pennies for the refurbishments.

"Need all my pennies for the refurbishments" ?Park Homes are not generally a good idea - They can be good for retirees who want to lose the responsibilities of maintaining a house and want to live such a community, and have enough income to meet the all charges and regulations imposed by the site owners, but in the end the home itself is just a large caravan with a limited shelf life..0

Refurbishing a park home is often a complete waste of money as the sites usually have a limit on the age of them no matter what the condition. There's no point spending money on improving one if you are going to be forced to have to buy a new one soon anyway...0

I would expect the conveyancing on a park home to be more expensive than a freehold house. Just as a leasehold flat costs more to convey than a freehold.Yes, the purchase price may be lower, but the legal work involved is more complex because of the contract with the park owners as well as the sellers.0

Watch out for the management fees. They can sometimes be extortionate.0
