Dishwasher fault

I have an 8 month old Samsung dishwasher purchased from currys with a 5 year care and repair plan.
Last night the dishwasher tripped the electric and now the fault light code appears (Tc) which means temperature fault. Each time you try to run a cycle with this fault code the electrics trip.
Currys cannot fix it as its still under the manufacturer warranty, I spoke to Samsung to book a repair but they are telling me that because the electric has tripped I must pay for an electrician to come out and check the electrics are not the cause, I asked if I did this and it wasn't my electric but in fact the dishwasher considering a fault is showing would they reimburse the cost and they said no. I have escalated this to complaints but have to wait 48 hrs for a call back.
The online trouble shooting says I need a repair.
any advice please?

You have two options.
If you're claiming through a warranty or plan, the terms of those are those in the plan contract, and if they are such that it's reasonable to get an electrician in first before they'll act, then those are the terms.
You could claim directly from Currys under your consumer rights (you don't have to be fobbed off onto Samsung), but after 8 months, Currys are entitled to ask you to have the unit inspected to confirm and determine the fault. You could reclaim the cost of that inspection if there is a fault, plus Currys would have to choose whether to repair, replace or refund.
Hopefully common sense will prevail when you get a call back and Samsung will send someone out, because it seems obvious from your description that the fault is with the appliance, not your electrical circuitry.0 -
This is normal procedure when a dishwasher develops faults in the heating circuitry.
I would advise them you have had your house electrics checked and they are fine
The usual rubbish service from Samsung.

Disconnect dishwasher pull plug out and see if trip blows if not its the dishwasher is faulty.
Plug in and test again, sometimes they can reset them selves.0 -
