Onsite Day 2 test Question

I'm just making plans for a short trip to Germany soon and navigating through the required Day 2 test options on our return. I'm just puzzled why the MSE guide doesn't mention the onsite testing which some of the companies are offering at £1 or less. Is this not an acceptable option as it would be quite a saving. Seems like I might be missing something obvious, so thanks in advance if anyone can advise.

Try booking them! They are click bait, once on their website the £1 test will only be available in a location in the middle of nowhere with restricted opening hours. But hey presto the same website can offer you a test for £80 somewhere more convenient.

As above I think you will be lucky to actually find one. I live in Greater London and looked into cheap onsite testing back in September and they claimed my nearest was around 70 miles away and would actually cost me £38. In the end I paid £45 and did a postal one, much more convenient.
