How will a Hive help lower usage? It's a thermostat, it'll control your heating like any other thermostat. It doesn't do anything magical. So the amount of gas you'll use will be the same.

 Because you can look at it remotely (or set an action that lets you know when temp has gone above a certain figure) and see that SWMBO has boosted it so you can turn it back down again for one instance 😅

Plus setting and adjusting schedules and just turning the temp down (or up) etc is so much easier that you tend to fine tune things much more.  Certainly made a difference here when I got it back in 2017 and has done ever since

So I don't come home after work to the house being roasting after she put the heating on and went out for 6 hours! 😂

We also don't have a Thermostat so heating is either on or off. No set temp
