A bit random but hoping someone might be able to assist.
I have been using MS Money for years with no issue, downloading statements from Barclays. A week ago it failed to import saying the OFX file was corrupt. OFX files from other banks work, but Barclays are failing. Anyone else have this issue or know a fix?
Thanks

I have had the same issue. It first occurred in Dec 2020 and has just happened again (Jan 2022). Barclays were absolutely no help at all in 2020. I haven't wasted my time telling them again. This time I have identified what seems to provoke the problem. On each occasion the account had been given a shop refund on goods. Why this should cause the file to be corrupt I have no idea. You can get round it by downloading account data individually (not in a group with other accounts) and adjusting the dates to avoid the date the issue has occurred. After several weeks the problem disappears when the faulty entry fades into history! I wonder if the issue might be something to do with the complicated way some shops apply the refund.1

Thank you PNM1 for identifying the cause of the problem. A shop refund is not being converted to the correct format for Money, resulting in the corrupt data file message.
To resolve just open the .ofx file in Notepad, remove all lines associated with the REFUND, Save,Import and all will be well!0
