It is indeed a lovely day in the NW of england and i have had my bedsheets on the line at the sunny end and they are nearly dry
I am slightly panicking about sprouts day and my lack of purchases. I'm not going mad on spending but i do need to offer some gifts to my DDsLBM - October 2018; finally debt free on 16 March 2021

By bedtime tonight I should have a Caribbean fruit cake (with rum) and a Traditional fruit cake (with Brandy) baked and ready to be iced.Cleaned the kitchen, did all the laundry, did the washing up (there was no counter space left, there was that much!) folded the laundry, had a bath, and then woke the kids for school. Did the school run, did the shopping, did the volunteering, came home and have made supper. I think that (and the baking tonight) is enough for today. I have had enough anyway. I have achieved, that is the main thing.Sent off the email about not being paid. No response as yet. This time tomorrow there will be 2 weeks of school until THE HOLIDAYS!!!!!Got DS2s school report, all good except ADT and to be honest the teacher is shockingly awful, so he will just have to teach himself to cook and draw. The flannelette duvet cover has arrived for DS4, so the winter duvets can be deployed. At some point I am going to have to start XMAS shopping, and I have no desire to do so.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Evening turtles! Woke well before my alarm at 6am as my back was sore so got up at about 6.30, looked outside and we had snow! It had stopped by 8am, I went to walk a friend's dog which is my usual Thursday routine, it was lovely and sunny out, a perfect combo with the snow. Dog had a great time, always makes me laugh to see how excited dogs get by snow.
Small planned spend today, we had a team breakfast at work, came in at under £6. That will come from the Xmas social budget. Unplanned spend of a cardboard hidey-hole for my rabbits as a little treat for them... they are too spoiled...
After saying on here yesterday that I want to save as much as possible, I spent ages last night mindlessly browsing and almost buying an alternative small wooden Xmas tree. Luckily I stopped myself. We have two trees in the basement, I'm just being too lazy to get them! Ridiculous!
Also heard from my car insurance today about the ongoing claim for my accident in June, they threatened the third party insurer with court and suddenly they've replied to say it was my fault! So now my insurer are asking me for images of my damage and dashcam, which I literally sent the day after the accident. You can't make this stuff up! I used to get angry with them about it but it's not worth it, I've accepted they're a useless company, they probably won't resolve the claim properly either but what will be will be.8 -
Rotten Rotten Kids have eaten all the butter, I will only have one traditional fruitcake baked by bedtime tonight, will do the other one in the morning. I wish they would say when they take the last slab of butter out of the fridge!!

Buffy, yes I am excited but also have moments of being overwhelmed, things seem to be moving too slowly. Also not sure about the stairs and sure I can't use the bath (there is a shower fitting if I feel okay standing up). However it will all work out in the end (any bits that don't will have to be rethought).
F0xh0les my mother's 86 and she still doesn't tell me when she starts using the last of something (I have to keep stock checking and buy more when we are getting low).
Was going to come back to do this morning's post but got side-tracked. have just got in ad I am absolutely wiped out. Number of things out is still very low but a lot of moving round means I now have a wide, clear path from the bed to the bedroom door instead of doing the human equivalent of dressage and nearly falling over when I can't reach the next toehold.
Bath at my house has been bleach and cotton wool - ed to get the black mould and red hair dye off the sealant. Many small bags of rubbish went in the newly emptied bins plus a sack of rubbish and a sack of cans (only to the back yard as the recycling bin won't be emptied until next week. medicines and basic toiletries have been taken home and put on my overdoor storage shelves and the plastic pockets thing on the bathroom door.
Gratitudes - can get in the fridge and freezer, simple, easy but tasty food, more floor appearing. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage7 -
Hugs @Kerry_Woman. Well done @ditty1234 & @mothernerd, you're doing great!
Must be the day for waking early, as I did too! When I eventually looked at the time, it was 5.30am, didn't manage to nod off again, so felt tired all day. A good day at work, managed to distract pupil from having a meltdown & at the same time make other members of staff laugh til tears ran down their faces, as they thought my upside down strawberry character from an online game, looked rude!! My heart warmed in the afternoon when I heard my pupil had talked another pupil down from a tricky time, empathy has suddenly appeared by the bucketload.
Sorted out finances when I got home, discovered lady year's home insurance had auto-renewed, when I've taken out a policy elsewhere, so will have to get that sorted out!
Grateful for pupil doing so well today, lots of belly laughs with colleagues, pretty decorations appearing at workUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃
