IVA huge increase advice
Hi
I took out an IVA three years ago. Initially my monthly payments were £85, after a review they increased to £182 and then without any notification or change in income or circumstances leapt to £392.
As part of this year's annual review i quires this. they have not answered my queries, but informed me the payments will increase to £604 as of Dec 1st! Next week!
My income has not changed... i just don't; understand why there has been this huge increase. any advice?

Very strange, usually an increase in payments will only happen if there is a corresponding increase in income, the increase you state is to my mind, ridiculas, unless you have serious arrears of some kind, do you ?
You need to speak to your IP`s office ASAP, and find out what`s going on.
For context, how much debt did you have originally ?

Thanks for your message, I was feeling really worried earlier!!
I've just had a call back... they hadn't taken into account some of my expenditure, their error, but also don't accept some of my expenditure... I spend too much on food and household!
They seem to think my income increased by about £800 per month form the last review which it hasn't, so i think this is their mistake.
They are now increasing it £505 per month from Jan and not as of next week, so although it's more than I'd like, it's better than I thought so will have to put up with it!

Which IVA company are you with? I'm with Stepchange and have only had my payments reviewed at the end of each year of the IVA. If my income goes down you need to contact them but if income increases they give you a monthly maximum you can earn and anything over that you have to pay 50% to the IVA company.0
