Dyson hot and cold fan how much energy consume?

This site says it is 2 kW. Dyson seem very cagey with specs. I remember having similar trouble finding specs for their vacuum cleaners1

You found the same one I did, seems to be one of the few places stating an accurate power consumption, I did also find a Guardian article stating 2kW. Surely there must be a trading standards issue on these product descriptions ?coffeehound said:This site says it is 2 kW. Dyson seem very cagey with specs. Sorry, I cant see how to shrink this image but it does indicate that it is indeed 2Kw. It is noisy when on full power ,but warms up a small unused / unheated room extremely quickly and being thermostatically controlled it switches off at the pre determined temperature. It's handy, but really not much better than cheaper fan heaters.

Sell it, the money you'll get will pay for a £50 fan or oil heater from a good brand and also cover the electricity bill for a year.
