dp1 said:Just a quick good morning from me as I'm almost off to work and I need to change a couple of things on my Tesco order before I go. I've noticed price increases on quite a few things I buy regularly.
No frost this morning but it's to be very cold all day - we're forecast snow showers tomorrow and Saturday.
Can anyone tell me how to cook pork fillet? I'd like to try it but have no idea what to do with it.
Hope everyone has a good day and Bella the funeral goes well x
dpi I am intending doing something like this recipe today, I have made stuffing from a few (very few) mushrooms, 1 skinned butcher's sausage and some packet stuffing mix.

Other times I slice into medallions and sauté with onion, garlic, mushrooms and make a sauce from dried herbs, cream/creme fraiche/milk etc, for 2 of us half a pork/veg stock cube or a touch of Marigold stock powder. very yummy. No recipe as such, just what I have around. HTH.

Hi everyone,
Dp1, pork fillet is very easy and quick to cook. Just cut into slices and pan fry for a few minutes each side, it's very tender so it doesn't need any more, I usually serve it with some sort of sauce - mushroom or mustard for preference.
Nelski, I wouldn't have been able to do that as a child, I've never been able to sit cross-legged properly, school assemblies used to be torture.
Gers, I'm very envious, the only birds we ever get in our garden are noisy, belligerent collared doves and the occasional magpie. Any food I've ever left out has mouldered away. Chris and Crystal get woodpeckers etc in their garden despite having a cat.
We had a lovely day with Esben and the journey down on Tuesday evening was much better than travelling in the morning. We put Esben to bed while Laura and Brian went out because she is trying to wean him off the breast, he was very good and went off after a story. He's such a joy to be with at the moment, he seems to have got over the tantrums he was having a couple of weeks ago. If he's thwarted he tries some very obvious crocodile tears but very soon lets himself be distracted, we'll see if it lasts, fingers crossed.
I'm going to Lidl this morning then I want to clear out the bathroom cupboard and give the en-suite a good going over as it's just had a quick wipe a few times while we were both ill. It looks superficially clean but I can see that the floor has a few dust bunnies.
Dumpling, I hope you are improving quickly.
Have a good day.

Morning, hugs if you need one.
Dumpling I hope you are feeling a bit better. Nels, well done with the exercises, keep at it.
Well a busy morning and its not even lunch time. I check the bank every morning, a payment to Admiral what for??? no letter from them, went into the admiral account, it was the renewal for the house insurance. 20 minute phone call to find out what was going on. Mentioned that I needed to cover my Brother embroidery machine against damage as I am booked to go to a workshop in Sheffield in April. a bit of jiggery pokery and I ended up with a £3.33 refund......hmmm not bad. Then the front door went, Morrison delivery. just after the delivery lady had gone the door went again, the plum tree that DB had ordered....phew I need a rest. Still one delivery to come, a new set of headphones my old ones fell to bits. There is one particular vlog I follow, DB cannot stand the sound of the womans voice, so decided a new set of headphones was needed.
Made lentil soup yesterday, enough left for another 2 lunches, so guess whats on the menu for lunch? Quiche tonight with salad and a jacket spud each.9 -

Hello, late one from me,
Was up early to take DH for his booster jab in the local town, did a bit of shopping🛍too as we very rarely go there.
Have put the first coat on the plaster, DH said to water the first coat down, think I may have put too much water in as most of the paint ended up on me.
Had a lovely day yesterday, took my DM & DD out for lunch and a little wander around the shops, managed to get myself a new pair of walking boots🥾 in the sale, happy as I take a half size in walking boots and can't always get them
Have a good rest of the day🌻7 -

I didn't post yesterday - was helping at friendship & lunch club from 10 - 2. Then I took some gnomes to my hairdressers to replace sold makes. This afternoon my hairdresser phoned to say that they had sold - could I take more there - will do tomorrow.
Dd has some of my makes at her work - total for the SA from there - +£40. I will get receipts for her and the hairdressers so they can see that all proceeds went to SA.
