Sale to a 0 feedback buyer!!

I have just made a sale of about £8 to a buyer with 0 feedback. The postage stated is 2nd class. They have paid via paypal.
Can I send 2nd class and be assured that if i send to paypal address that the buyer can't say they haven't received it?
Or is it better for me to send recorded to cover myself?

The only way you can be truly sure is to send it Special Delivery. But it's really not worth it for that low amount.
Recorded Delivery is notoriously unreliable, and rather a waste of 70p.
Why not take a chance... send it standard, get a proof of posting, and claim compensation if anything happens. It's unlikely you'll be scammed over £8.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

Everyone was a zero feedback buyer/seller once.
I've had great experience with zeros and a couple of iffy experiences but the good has out-weighed the bad.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Everyone has to start somewhere. If paypal address is confirmed post the item out. I am sure you will be fine.0

I got caught out last year - ended ip having to refund buyer and then claim to the Royal Mail because I did not post it via a online trackable service (which Paypal states that you need to do to be covered).
However like the others say everyone has to start somewhere and I got my money back in the end. My buyer also had their feedback private.
For £8 its worth taking the chance that this buyer is genuine - most people are!:A0 -
I send everything recorded. I think for the sake of 70p it's worth using a service which has a signature otherwise buyers could easily file an item not received.
However I could have saved myself hundreds of pounds this year if I sent everything unrecorded.0 -
If you get a proof of postage you are covered for upto £32.
And we all had to start somewhere on ebay and all the other sites. Dont forget to leave them feedback.Amazon Sellers Club Member Number 52

Why send 2nd class? better to show a first class service with a first class stamp.
If you are really worried why not pull their details and check out there contact details by calling them, if genuine I am sure they would understand the courtesy call.
