staycation group insurance

I have booked a hen party weekend in the UK, the country house and all activities are under my name.
Can anyone advise if I should get group travel insurance or just me as only my name under booking and any recommendations for insurance that covers covid?
I am assuming if any one of the party gets covid or has to isolate that single person would unfortunately lose their money and the rest of the party would be expected to go but would really like to see if any way I can cover for the whole party incase it was the bride to be! The bride to be is a family member but different household.
Perhaps I should change the accommodation/activities lead name to hers?
Perhaps I am overthinking it but any advice would be gratefully received.
Many thanks

Insurance should be taken out at the time of booking, not just before the event. To cover everyone in the party you'd need group insurance, as the name suggests.1

Insurance is based on who is travelling not who is paying... you'll find many stories in these forums of people who assumed that as they were paying for the whole group's trip that only they needed to buy insurance but end up getting 1/Xth of the money back (where X is the total size of the group).
On a Group policy if one person cannot travel and the rest decide to continue the policy will cover that one person's share net of any excess (assuming its for a valid reason for not travelling coverd by the policy)
The one problem with group policies is that you must declare everyone's intimate medical history in full, this can cause issues as not everyone will want to tell you that they've had recent treatment for an STI or have just been diagnosed with cancer1
