Grant of probate

We have actually received grant of probate after a 9 month battle. The sister in law is now demanding she wants a copy of the grant of probate through her solicitor. Do we have to provide this? She is a beneficiary of the will.

She can just pay £1.50 and apply for a copy through the Government web site, no need to demand anything.2

That is an expensive way of seeing what is now a public document, I bet she paid a lot more than £1.50 for that solicitor letter. No reason you should not provide her with a copy, but I would send a photo copy via her solicitor which will cost her even more when he / she forwards it to her.Shezzy1 said:We have actually received grant of probate after a 9 month battle. Is your SIL a residual beneficiary? If so make sure you let her have a set of estate accounts when you are ready to distribute the estate.1
