Usually ebay are more helpful to business sellers as we make more money for them, you might also have to start suggesting that a SAR is looking like the only way to get informationI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thank you.I have been told in every chat and phone call with eBay that everything seems fine with my security details.I asked on my last chat which was last Thursday if I could speak to someone more senior. I was told there isn’t anyone more senior that could help.eBay are holding onto approximately £700 of my sales that I have worked hard for during The month of October/November.I’ve had to pay for all the postage costs on my credit card, as I haven’t got the money. It’s not right that they are holding onto my earnings.I really just don’t know what else to do. 🤷🏻♂️0

All you can do is insist they let you speak to someone, don't get fobbed off with the 'no one is available' . I usually phone early or late to get Dublin as they are usually much more flexible and work away from their script - I can usually get to speak to someone more senior if I am persistent enough.

@take a look) they seem to be closing or suspending accounts & holding on to money with no good reason. It all stems from when eBay switched from PayPal to managed payments earlier this year. I know this from personnel experience similar to you I have 100% positive feedback and 20 years membership with current seller level above standard. When requested to register managed payments earlier this year I completed managed payments registration with the required information. All went through perfectly and I started to receive my payments direct to my bank, then one day early June all my listing were cancelled and my account indefinitely suspended. At first I thought it was just me and something I had done although I couldn’t think what it could possibly be? Their customer Service is among one the worse I have dealt with and at first would not tell me what the problem was only telling me that my account was a danger to the eBay community, and when I did get to the bottom of it turned out to be due to the inability to verify my account information. This was the last message I got from them
“After further review of your account, we've determined that the inability to verify your information poses too great a risk to the eBay community. Due to these concerns, any funds not already paid out will be retained by eBay”
I was then told eBay couldn’t complete the verification of my account and thus thay would not be able to send the funds of £159.73 that was in my account. This was because eBay could not resolve the suspension and complete the verification.
This is a catch 22 situation (“a situation from which an individual cannot escape because of contradictory rules or limitations”)
At the moment I am in the process of appealing this on-going dispute with the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier Luxembourg an independent International arbitration.
I will most likely start a new thread to see if anyone else is having a similar problem. I have moved on now to another selling platform hopefully you will not have to go down the same route as me
