Balance Transfer - Virgin to MBNA

Hi
Ive just been approved a BT card from MBNA and tried to transfer a balance from Virgin (a card i've had for about 2 years) and it has been unsuccessful. 
Is there an issue with transferring between these banks ie same group etc?

No, I've transferred both Virgin to MBNA, and also MBNA to Virgin in the last few months. Have you contacted MBNA to ask what the issue might be? Your card isn't locked is it?

Are you doing it the wrong way round? 

You want to transfer a balance from your MBNA card onto your Virgin card. That payment will cover your debt (either in full or partially) on your Virgin account.

No. I'm trying to transfer the balance on my Virgin card to the MBNA one.

Have you activated the MBNA card?

I had a new MBNA about 3 months ago and transferred from Virgin to MBNA. My transfer through the app failed, so rang them and got it sorted that way.
