Hi,
Looking for a bit of help please.
I am looking to replace my 10 year old 19 inch laptop with something smaller. As I have have got used to this size, and have difficulty looking at screens that are too small, I was looking for something about 15 inches.
It needs to have a webcam and 'decent' speakers - I do a lot of zoom meetings - but other than that I am fairly happy with anything.
Willing to spend around / up to about £1,000.
I can find lots of 13 inch laptops but struggling to find reviews of anything of the size I would like.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Unless you're gaming or dealing with heavy graphics applications that need dedicated graphics and the fastest CPU you could get a pretty decent spec laptop for half that amount.1 -
As NeilMCL mentioned you could get a decent laptop for around 500 bucks. Even if the speakers were a bit naff some USB ones can be had for not a lot and if you found the screen a bit small a monitor could probably be attached via HDMI or similar 😊Useful is beautiful1

All good points
Unfortunately I am often away from home so a monitor and speaker would not really be practical - though usb speakers may work (I hadn't thought of / heard of those)
I just need a good quality webcam, reasonable memory and sound, plus a decent way to type LOTS!
It would not be for gaming nor film watching apart from short few minute long clips.
Any recommendations?
As I say I can find lots of 13 inch and a couple of 14, but struggling to find anything bigger.
Thanks

I would want to try before I buy. If they have a store near you? You might want to visit John Lewis. They currently have 74 laptops available on their web site between 14 and 16""A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi
Ride hard or stay home :iloveyou:1 -
No one could actually tell quality of webcam and speaker by looking on spec!
If you always on zoom meeting, get yourself a headphone and mic.
Anyway, here are few laptop you might consider based on spec

Speakers - get a bluetooth speaker if required.

I've been using a Dell Latitude 5510 (new model is the 5520) and I've been quite happy with it.
The second '5' in the model number is the display says; which is 15.6". I bought one for my Mum from the Dell Outlet store after buying mine; neither have given any problems.
I can't really comment on the speaker sound quality as I always have a set of speakers plugged in. I can give it a try later on.
