My elderly parents have a corded landline, so that doesn’t need a power socket. They can’t grasp using a mobile so I want to add a cordless option, something they can move around the house with, without having to go to the corded location every time to answer the phone.
So I would need to locate the cordless phone near a convenient power socket. Can I just get a twin phone line connector and run a new extra phone cable to that location? Is it really that easy? Thanks for any advice.

this should be what you want, and then the extension cable of course for the new phone

Thanks all.
So my parents currently have a ‘regular’ splitter for modem and phone. So I plug in a twin phone line splitter into the ‘Phone’ hole, as in the eBay item linked by cx6, yes? But will connecting an extra phone affect the broadband signal I wonder?0 -
Was thinking one of these would be ok......

Anything like that will do (although a bit pricey !). Only really get problems when you have too many phones connected and that is usually when they are old fashioned proper ringers.
