Hotpoint Repair

Hotpoint Oven broke about 24th October. Contacted our Extended Warranty company, via VERY, who sent out a Hotpoint on 4th November. Said he couldn't fix it as the socket was faulty and needed a part. Didn't try another socket and turns out he didn't order the part.  Told to contact Hotpoint when the socket was fixed.

Contacted Hotpoint the next day to book an appointment.  But I was told I had to go through the Warranty Company but they were aware if the part that needed ordering. 

Warranty Company booked an appointment for 18th Nov, but nobody turned up and told the appointment had never been booked even though I had E mail and message confirming the date.

So booked again for today, 22nd Nov with Hotpoint who turned up and was not told a part was required and it had never been ordered as the original job had been closed for some reason.

The Hotpoint engineer, Steve who was very helpful had to order a new part but it could bevup to 2 weeks or longer before it can be fitted.

So that will become months without an Oven, so trying to feed a family from a microwaves is a nightmare and 3 days leave used from work to wait in for an engineer.

Hours wasted on the phone trying to sort out a repair appointment.

It would have been cheaper buying a new Oven and it wouldn't be one linked to HOTPOINT.... Never again!!!!
