I have a resident permit on our street valid for last few years - when I go to my office I use a office parking permit for that area - both permits are in one pocket and I just put one permit ahead of other - recently on 2 occasions when I returned late in the evening from work I forgot to remove the office permit and the resident permit hidden behind was not visible - they have rejected my appeal and I have 3 more days to pay discounted amount or get notice for full amount which I can then take it to councils parking appeal and then independent adjudicator - first time I paid - now I feel this is preposterous - it is a scam - they know on their system that the car has a permit and should use jurisprudence and common sense - how can the system issue a ticket for a car that has a permit on their system - is this worth fighting - anyone has experience of this kindly throw some light

I deduce that this is a council penalty charge, if not please advise. As we major on private parking tickets here, PePiPoo will be your best bet for council tickets. Register there but please note that a hotmail address won't work - try using a throwaway gmail account instead if you do have trouble registering and post a new thread; here's your link:Have a read through some of the other threads there before you post your own to get the hang of what information they need from you in your opening post - but as a minimum you will need to post redacted photos/scans of all correspondence you've received from the council (both sides, if appropriate) as they need to see all the small print.PePiPoo has an excellent success record in dealing with council tickets. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
