It is proper brr this morning! I've put the heating back on for an hour until I decide whether or not to order some wood for the burner. There's not really enough room for what I'd normally order but at the same time, I don[t want to leave it too far into December because that's going to be a busy month..Found my sister a Christmas present I think she will actually like, a signed copy of her favourite chefs book, so thankfully, she is sorted.. She's just so difficult to buy for...And she hates Christmas. Double whammy right there...To be fair though, the times she did ask for something specific [never anything over the top], she never got that thing, and the times she told them she definitely didn't want something, they went ahead and got it for her anyway. So she was serially disappointed for years when we were young adults I expect it's called now.I made some right disaster of biscuits this weekend [looked like brandy snaps when they should have been pert little shortbread look a likeys] but I did make a lovely pie [ got to taste it Saturday night] and there's some pie left for tonight along with some sprouts to supercharge for accompaniment. We had sunday dinner out yesterday with friends to figuratively wave goodbye to the one going back to Germany. OH has a week off so he is playing little men and going to visit a friend in London, helping to smash up some house for renovation, although in his case, less smashing, more wallpaper scraping] so I will potter here for now.Nelski, lovely that you're back. No mean accomplishment. DP1,what a nightmare, glad she's through it and they have a future plan! Ruby, hang on in there! Hopefully it will fly past. Scarlet, he has just endured what would be anathema to me, Excercise AND cold horrendous weather? I'll tick the NO box thanks...
Snoozer, good to hear your house is being looked after well this time. TA, chores can always wait, time with family you love, more important
Take care of yourselves today, remember, you might as well because you're all L'Oreal...

Morning, hugs if you need one. Nelski, remember, slow and steady wins the race, enjoy your prawn cocktail. DP1 what an awful time, I hope the little one improves rapidly and the experience is not repeated.
Its double brrrrr this morning, we have had a frost. DB will have to check the greenhouse. I have laundry in, afraid its going in the dryer, My hands will seize up if I try to hang the laundry on the line.
Busy day, cleaner here this morning, DB is going to Evergreens this afternoon, I have some shopping to do for B, and then go to visit her for an hour or so. She phoned yesterday with a 'little list'. Will then nip to Aldi for a few bits, then pick up DB before driving home.
We need to have a half day in town, I need to collect my ring, get new batteries for 2 watches and a strap for one. I will sub lunch in town before we come home. might do it later in the week.
On Saturday I ordered a new tablet from Amazon, yesterday I found the exact same tablet almost £100 cheaper. I have cancelled the order from Amazon. I checked very carefully that it was the same tablet with the same functions. Should be here later in the week.
Cheese and potato pie with baked beans for supper tonight, some of the plum crumble for dessert.7 -

It still feels nippy in here and the heating goes off in half an hour so will need to light the log burner I think. Now DGs birthday presents are sorted I can put my thoughts towards Christmas pressies now...Take care all, & keep warm x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Lots of rain here then an odd spell of sunshine before it rains again - more like April.
Baked a Victoria Sandwich ready for tomorrow's lunch at the SA.
I am not cooking dinner tonight as we are out at the SA for a meal followed by week 5 of a 12 week course.
DD has taken some of my makes into work so hopefully that will raise some money for the SA.
I have some makes at my hairdressers - will have to pop by and see if any have been bought.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
