Ask the site manager. There'll be a planned schedule of works.

We only get there on a Saturday due to the distance so we never see them

I’ll ask the person who’s there next time we go
  • It might depend on the other houses around yours. Ours was completed mid June but we only completed mid-July because we had to wait for the scaffolding to come down on our neighbours house to ensure ours was safe.

I’m completing in mid December. My house is completely ready but they just need to finish the paving/tarmacing if outside and finish off the big parts of landscaping out the front (building a ‘swale’ - which from what I can work out is a fancy name for a ditch).
The 5 other houses on my street have all been delayed though because of supply issues. They are getting more added extras so it’s those things that are taking longer. The site diverted some supplies from their houses to ours so that at least one would be ready before Xmas.
  • Luckily our outside is finished apart from one length of fence

we are going back to visit this weekend (they like us to go once a month)

I know it was tiled this week

Delays have been ongoing for a while. We were due to complete last December on a new build but completion ended up as April (we withdrew due to leasehold issues).
We were lucky where we ended up buying our current home as the previous buyer pulled out when they couldn't hit the 1st stamp duty window. Downside is due to supply issues, finish isn't as good as our neighbours house which was completed first.

May you find your sister soon Helli.
    Sleep well.

Still loads to do and you will be very lucky if meets it target date. I expect you to miss that by a month or two at least.

yep, exchanged in May (was at foundation level) we were supposed to complete Friday just gone but now end of January because of the shortages. frustrating thing is our house is almost done but because we are on a private road and the last house we need to wait for the other 3 to be almost done. It's our first house together and our dream house and I cannot wait!
Luckily they have been great letting us visit and we go for a sneaky look through the fence once a week lol

Our son and his wife seem to be at a similar stage of their build as in kitchen and bathrooms just gone in.

They have already been informed that the probability of slippage from the estimated date of mid January to early March is highly likely due to materials shortages, supply chain issues and lack of trades available.
