EDF meter readings
I'm currently with EDF following the demise of Green Network Energy back in January (in hindsight those were the good old days).
I keep a record of my own monthly Economy 7 readings (don't have gas) but EDF seems indifferent to producing bills or to require readings. I've provided readings at the time of transfer and in online chats when trying to set up a DD. However, the only readings showing in my online account are those from 1st October when I switched from the GNE welcome tariff to a 3 year fix.
With a monthly direct debit budget account EDF only require readings "when they ask for them". However, I'm perturbed that previous readings I've given disappear. With previous suppliers historic readings remained available.
Am I missing something and previous readings are hidden away somewhere in the EDF account? (By the way, I don't have a smart meter).

EDF only bill every 6 months when a customer pays by direct debit. The reads you have given, unless asked for, will be recorded on their system but may not show on your online account as not used for billing purposes.2

EDF will always store the readings you give, but will also estimate readings if they don't have an upto-date reading at the time they produce a bill, which is typically every 6 months.Other providers, such as EON, Octopus, and others can generate a bill when you give a reading. With BG, you can ring up and request a forced bill, in which case they'll use the reading you give there and then.0

If you do want a one off bill you can call EDF and request one. They did this for me when I got my smart meter to check that the installer hadn't incorrectly transposed the closing E7 day and night readings from the old mechanical meter.
