The only option my IHD had that stopped working was the cost info, everything else - meter readings, historical data etc still worked . It restarted working fully about three months ago when the cost displays restored  and began sending data back to the supplier again.

I do agree that BT have dropped one with the DV phone but as far as I'm concerned it wont bother me to send it back as everything else still works.

BTW my mate is a TT customer and is expecting to have his broadband and phone transferred to FTTP next week and although  he is 85 (and nearly blind) isn't fazed or wringing his hands in woe and misery.

The digital phones which this is about always are on loan
