You don’t NEED anything. You might want to consider traders insurance, sometimes called sellers insurance, which a good policy would cover the below, some or all of which might be relevant ti your circumstances.
- Product liability insurance to cover any accusations of negligence should the goods you sell damage a customer’s property, injure them or make them ill.
- Public liability insurance to cover damages for any third parties who are injured while coming into contact with your business (couriers, suppliers, market stall browsers etc.)
- Employers’ liability insurance to cover the people who work with/for you, including employees, volunteers and apprentices, for illness and/or injury.
- Stock and property insurance to cover your stock if it gets damaged or stolen. This often goes hand-in-hand with business interruption insurance, which covers you if a fire, flood or other unexpected event (hopefully not all three) prevents you from trading from your usual business premises.
You might also think about cross posting this on the eBay board.

I've sold tyres on eBay before but to be honest I found Facebook marketplace a better optionRemember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.1 -
I'm going to do it as a business

If you're employing anybody, then you do need employer's liability insurance. It's a really good idea to have product liability and public liability. if someone is injured, then the resulting compensation bill could bankrupt you.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -

All of that may come to a lot more than you think.
It feels like an incredibly crowded market to me. I plugged "tyres" in to ebay.co.uk and there are over 1.2 million listings. Where there is a lot of competition on ebay it becomes a race to the bottom on price.2 -

THat's ebay, race to the bottom on prices, no protection for sellers from rogue buyers. Not sure why anyone would use it as a platform to be honest if any alternatives exist. Facebook market place seems to be exploding.1
