Normally, once the executor has been legally confirmed (and probate supplied if obtained) - they cant act on the instructions of an unconfirmed executor - and the vehicle has been transferred, then the policy would be cancelled and a refund given.
Delays can be caused by probate being obtained (if required) or someone giving the instructions who does not have the legal responsibility to do so (or has not yet been confirmed as having the legal responsibility yet). So, it looks like going to complaint may be necessary now.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
