DRP - is this the pre-legal paperwork?

Hi, I have ignored a parking charge since May 2019, have not responded to the private parking firm (NCP)

I received a debt collector letter today stating that I have ignored and I now can settle with them before legal action is taken imminently blah blah blah.

It’s this second page that concerns me. They’ve created a tick list of all the things that are discussed on here to challenge parking tickets. I don’t know what evidence they have (photos of my car etc) but it was so long ago I’m actually not even sure if it was myself or my husband who was driving!

Should I ignore this? Or is this the pre-court letter that I shouldn’t ignore?

Ps. I’ve read all the newbie stuff & all the DRP threads but haven’t seen this before. Thank you!

Ignore anything from DRPL , debt collectors cannot do anything , no matter what concoction they write , so stick to post 4 of that newbies FAQ sticky thread

A formal LBC from a claimant or a lawyer gives 30 days notice and includes financial forms , do not ignore

A court claim pack from the CCBC in Northampton is what starts the legal claim , within 6 years , do not ignore

    DRPL cannot issue either

Are you sure you have read the fourth post in the NEWBIES thread?

    That post starts...
    'IGNORE THE DEBT COLLECTORS' STAGE

    DO NOT PANIC!
    The message is...
Debt collectors are harmless. Debt collectors can do nothing.

Why are we being shown that laughable letter from DRP?  No need.  This is completely covered by the NEWBIES thread post #4.   It's not new:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6280729/debt-recovery-plus-terminal-notice-pre-legal-action/p1

Thank goodness it's a 'terminal notice' = signals at least that DRP have stopped bothering with you.

Apparently they have a 'Legal Team' (they don't).

Can anyone find that photo on a reverse image look up?   Step forward the real 'Andrew Hunt' (Catfish stylee).  It looks like the face might be from a random face image generator.

    To answer your question:
    is this the pre-legal paperwork?
    LOL, of course not!

They've obviously sacked the fictitious Abigale Wheeler.

Apparently 'Andrew Hunt' is their 'Legal Manager' and they will pass it to their 'Legal Team'.  If he is the 'Legal Manager' who exactly is he passing it to then?! (rhetorical question, this is just misleading rubbish).

No, it's pre-pulling the flush paperwork. Don't forget to wash your hands.

  • Given the appearance of the MD of DRP in the Select Committee which you can watch here ...

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6313148/select-committee-oral-evidence-today-re-the-parking-code-of-practice-act#latest

He is the one on the left who is only interested in payment plans from motorists

A non descript bod who allows such rubbish letters to be sent out.

BUT, DRP are BPA members .... of course they are ?

    A very sad little man
