Correcting a predictive text on my iPad

When I go to type my surname on an email for example, the name comes up twice, eg I type J (for Jones) it comes up JonesJones. How can I amend it please?

iPhone instructions, assume iPad is identical:

Sadly it is an "all or nothing" approach, you cant delete specific learned words like you can on Android.1
