When you flush your toilet, where does it go?0

Where does the waste water (kitchen, loo etc) from your house go? To the mains foul drainage in the street? To a septic tank or treatment plant in the garden?Where does the water from your roof and garden go? To the main drainage in the street? Is that the same drain as the mains foul drain or separate? Or does it go to a soak-away in the garden? Or...?Checking your water bill should give clues as to whether you are paying them to take it away or not.0

I don’t know. Through pipes taken away1

We have pipes on the outside of our house front and back and gutters. I’m not sure where everything goes or if it all goes together as there are various pipes… for the foul it is the mains. I don’t know if the surface water is the same pipes?0

You surely must know if you have a septic tank in the garden or not? If you have, how often do you empty it or is it overflowing......? Or a soak-away?And you must know if you are paying the water company to remove either your foul and/or surface water?0

We do not have a septic tank. We pay united utilities for all things related to water.0

If you don't know then you tell them you don't know. I would have thought they'd be getting (or already have) a search telling them whether you're connected to mains drainage or not, so not sure why they're also asking you.1
