Hi,
I already hold a Barclaycard and applied for a 2nd card.
I had a chat with them online via mu app. They came back applicatio bas been rejected becuse I can only keep 1 card at one time.
It does not say where on the website. The wording has been removed from who can apply and card eligibility section.
Anyone else had any problems?
Thanks

I thought most card holders had the same policy.
Why do you want the same card? Is it to get newbie benefits like a 0% offer not available to a current customer? completely understandable of course but it's prob not a great benefit to Barclaycard.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Barclaycard changed their policy at the beginning of the year and allowed at least one additional card. I got one.
Perhaps they decided to revert to their old policy.0 -
Barclaycard have had a one card policy on and off for the last few years. If they are currently limiting to one it will no doubt change yet again in a few months!1

Barclaycard have massively tightened their criteria - I can't get one at all.0

It just shows that they don't want your custom.1 -
As others have said they have changed the policy few times (at one point I had three Barclaycards). I think the only way you could apply for a second one right now is if your other one is a legacy Co-branded product like the Hilton Honors.0

They should have at least replied to me saying reason for the ineligiblity.
Plus whre does it say on there website that you cannot apply if you already hold a Barclaycard.

They have no particular reason or obligation to inform you that you were never going to get the card, as the criteria could change on a daily basis and it's very clear that Barclaycard's stance on multiple cards is not "only one card per person".1
