Humex sound problem

I'm using a humex box connected to free sat
Everything is OK but the sound level on recordings are very low
I have to put humux up to 40 almost max and TV to 20 normally be 8,
I've checked cables and all seem tight,
Anyone any ideas

Correct, but I never had to do that before, it's only a recent problem,WAS DEBT FREE & STILL BAAARRRRRKING :cool:

I have a similar issue, with the Humax going directly to the TV via an HDMI lead. The last couple of weeks the audio output levels from the box have dropped, so have to adjust the TV volume depending on whether I'm watching live or recorded programmes.

I have a Humax 1100 connected to a Sony TV directly connected via HDM, I'm using a Sony soundbar. On non-HD channels the comfortable sound level setting is 28 (i.e 28%), however on HD channels the sound level is much quieter and requires around a setting of 40 to be comfortable. I believe this due to HD channels using Dolby Digital audio.0
