Morning all. Tomatoes and beans stalks put in the green bin. Normally, I'd throw them on the compost heap but I didn't fancy chopping them finely to go in the new one. Front garden tidy up today, we'll see how far I get...We had the fire on last night because it was a bit brrr...Today is quite cold but honestly, the difference having curtains to the lean makes is massive. The cats have more or less got the hang of going under it althought the little girl thinks it's a game when Fatty gets a bit stuck. That's quite funny..I took some reduced price chicken mince out of the freezer last night, I'll make some meatballs in a tomato sauce for tonight, I'm not sure whether OH will be going to work today or not. He did get his bicycle fixed yesterday but he said riding it was quite painful, the banging up and down hurt his ribs and shoulder. He's still shouting every time he turns over in bed, it's like listening to me. He did say he had a new appreciation for what it must be like for me thanks to that, so I gave him my lovely v pillow so he could get some relief...I've been taking glucosamine and magnesium for the past two ish weeks and while the first is still to be decided about effectiveness, the magnesium has more or less stopped the cramps, which means I no longer jump [ok, fall] out of bed screeching like a banshee and my hands don't do claws when I try and grip something so much.Carolbee, how nice for , don't envy you the testing part though. Sunflower, have a nice few days away. DP1, not fun, hope they kick in soon...Nanny, hope he enjoyed the faggots and peas, sounds lovely [OH won't eat them so I have some guiltily now and again]. Rosy, I'm on a mission to empty mine a bit too. Right, need more tea, so look after yourselves, have an indulgent hot chocolate or two today....Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi10

Morning, hugs if you need one.
Dull and windy, quite cold too when I put my nose out the door for the milk.
Its coffee morning round at the little chapel, so will wander round shortly. We missed the last one as DB was in bed with a bad back.
I finished the cushion yesterday, I need to trim up the mat and sew on the binding, then thats two more gifts sorted. I have finished my Christmas makes, everyone else is getting lace decs for their trees.
We have invested in a ring doorbell, I will need to sort out the instructions. It will save DB having to get up to see whats coming into the close when we hear a vehicle reversing. Later I may team it with a wireless security system. WE have not had any problems as such, but you never can tell.
Supper tonight salmon and salad, raspberries in jelly for dessert.8 -
Morning all, it's a bit brighter today. The faggots and peas went down a treat yesterday, I haven't had that for a very long time and there was enough left over for a few extra portions for Dad who decided to go home mid afternoon. He had his blue badge renewal done and his phone sorted before he left though 🤨Not much going on today except Mr Fix It's oncology appointment so while he's in there I'll pop round to the pharmacy to collect some tablets that are owing to me. Until we leave I'm just pottering around as I have no time to get stuck into anything major. Easy bacon, eggs and mushrooms for tea today.Hope everyone has a good day.Take care all.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently9

I was disappointed with the sponge puddings I made for SA lunch but they went down okay with custard.
Notched up 6000+ steps in a few hours running around making drinks and serving meals.
Plan to have a sit down and work on some crochet this afternoon. No cooking for me tonight as we ate at the SA.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
