Hello.
I am interested in a property currently for sale and there is a note stating:
Currently the vendors details do not match the registered title at land registry. Please contact the branch for more details.
I have never seen this before. Is it something to be concerned about? Thanks.

It could be someone acting as Power of Attorney or Executor.0

Could be a developer selling a part-ex property. Or it might be one of these "We buy any house" outfits trying to offload.Troy_af said: Currently the vendors details do not match the registered title at land registry. Please contact the branch for more details.
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Possibly. Find out what the "more details" are and let us know. ThanksTroy_af said:

So the branch has told me that it is nothing to worry about and it should be sorted within a week or 2. Basically they've said that only one of the vendors details are on the land registry (a couple selling) and in order to sell both of them need to be on. Sounds ok to me.. I just don't know why they aren't both on in the first place, but I'll see what happens.

Why would they both need to be on to sell?Troy_af said:user1977 said:

Could be that only one of the couple is the owner. In which case, the legal documents would be signed by that owner and the other person will sign the contract as occupier.0

Doesn't make sense to me. In fact, sounds a potential complication given lenders typically want the vendor to have been registered as proprietor for at least six months. Perhaps something has been lost in translation.2
