I love the hand and foot print cards, I'd love it if I received one of those, not sure if my dgc would keep still long enough though lol

The garlands are easier to make than they look Nannygladys - I made one when I was probably about 12. It took me ages probably because I tried to do quite a long one but it wasn't difficult and surprisingly looked quite good. The basic structure was old tights and newspaper like the instructions in this link.

Last year I made crochet snowflakes- granny squares with a 5th corner- very easy. Stretched them and starched them

 I also made pretty crochet angels with metallic thread halos & 'dress' edgings.
I can not post my own photos (I've tried before!) but maybe I can find the instructions and post the online links if needed?

Every year I make paper doily snowflakes by folding up plain paper into a thin triangle, cutting shapes into it and unfolding. The trick to making a good one is cutting into as much as possible.

The reindeer silhouette is made from black foam which was originally used to package a parcel. We found a template online to copy from and we stuck it to our (existing) moon light with sellotape.

I made our advent wreath mainly using foliage from our overgrown garden.
