    Where do you see that?

    From their website:

Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.

I have not had any notification of this happening

Easy Access is 0.6 anyway, not 0.5

That will be a Charter account via HL. There is often a difference between the rates available through HL and directly.

I can't see a Charter Savings Bank Easy Access Account currently on the HL Active Savings list, but they do still have Fixed Rates savings accounts at decent rates.

It's normal that accounts are dropping off the HL (or any savings provider's) list of accounts you can apply for. The accounts don't have to close just because they are now longer on offer to new applications.

I haven't looked at the HL or Charter rates in any detail recently but when I last looked, they weren't amongst the market leaders. Not that I would describe the market leading rates as 'decent' as none of them comes even close to keeping up with inflation. It's just a matter of finding the least worst rates these days if you need to keep your money in cash.

Mines would have been via HL Active savings start of this year, I think.

I've decided to open Charter 6 months .80%.

Small deposit, then I'll shift savings from Instant to 6 months.
    Hopefully this rate doesn't drop.

    thanks

They currently have a Charter Bank 1 year fixed at 1.27% on HL, if you can afford to leave the savings untouched for a year.

Thanks certainly valid option, I have time as 6 months only requested today.

I'm interested to know if Instant Access rate drop is across other Charter Saving types.

    Thanks
