    If the rates available through HL drop to half of what you'd get by going direct to Charter then that's pretty poor, to say the least !

    Generally speaking, easy access rates are heading up (albeit very slowly) and not down, but Fixed Rates seem to have stalled (and actually dropped slightly) in recent months.

    Thanks, I find H.L. Active savings convenience works, only as I view Isa.

     intend to open fixed rate 1 year as suggested as Access is not of any concern, whilst I use other savings elsewhere for whatever.
